Tags

Identities say who is acting. Tags say which project is moving.

Use a tag when one project pulls in several identities, like #halfmarathon (Athlete, Writer) or #rebrand (Founder, Artist).

The rules​

  • Create tags in Identity Studio only. Tags can't be invented on the fly while you type a task. That keeps typos from splitting one project into three.
  • One tag per task, one tag per target. If an action belongs to two projects, it's probably two actions.

Use them​

Tags appear inline as #tag with a count. Double-click to edit, press Enter to save, Escape to cancel.

When a target wears a tag, finishing any action with that tag, in any identity, moves the target's progress counter. Pulse also breaks your week down by tag.

Deleting a tag​

Before a tag is deleted, you'll see how many tasks and targets use it. You'll also be offered Archive instead, which keeps your history. Archive is the safer choice.
