Targets

Targets are the long-term milestones that run across weeks or months. They tie the big picture to what you actually do on Tuesday.

Overview

A calm list of your targets: owner, date, status, and a link to each whiteboard. There are no progress bars to stare at.

A target is finished when you decide it is. Use Mark shipped. Nothing completes itself at 80%.

The whiteboard

Each target has a freeform whiteboard on a dot grid. A countdown at the top shows the time left, for example "Ship in 2 Weeks (1/14 days)".

  • Click anywhere to add a note. Drag it where you want it.
  • Assign any note to an identity and a facet.
  • Use sticky notes in four tones, plus rectangles, ellipses, triangles, arrows and lines.
  • Connectors snap to the edges of nearby shapes.

Schedule from the whiteboard

Give any note or shape an identity and a date, and it appears on that identity's day in Your Week. Your Week stays the source of truth. The whiteboard mirrors the action's title and whether it's done.

Tag a target

If a target wears a tag, finishing any action with that tag, in any identity, moves its progress counter. See Tags.
